Every neighborhood should have a monthly cocktail party (though I don't think a single "cocktail" was consumed... it was all beer and wine). Neighbors should enjoy a relaxing end-of-workweek time with at least twice as much food as they could consume.

No agenda. No pressure. The quiet ones don't have to say much. It's especially nice in colder climages to have a nice, toasty fireplace.

If everybody had neighbors and neighborhoods like this, the world would be a better place. If your neighbood is not this way, fix it.
