Mile after mile of Lancaster County, PA's farms are picture book perfect. It's remarkably challenging to capture that magic when you're speeding through on a train. Even in wintertime they are quite beautiful. Since my forebearers were farming there in the 1700's (my great-grandmother Heldenbrand was born there before going to Ohio, then Iowa, then Nebraska), I always wonder if I might be seeing some of places where they lived.
