Time of the Fishes

Time of the Fishes

I'm a few days late in acknowledging the Sun has moved into Pisces (on February 19th), the sign of the fishes. The origin of the sign's imagery is said to come from two Babylonian goddesses symbolizing the Tigris river and the Euphrates river.

Pisces is the most introverted and reflective sign. It's time for contemplation. Meditation. Looking inward. Otherwise, associations of Pisces are such things as lettuces, cucumbers, melons, and water lilies. Why? Heck if I know.

These fishes do just fine through the cold winter, even if their pond freezes, as long as there's a hole in the ice to provide needed oxygen. They don't eat through the coldest months and are in a state near hibernation.
